This is the only Cypripedium that you can find growing in Western Europe. It grows in Austria, and Switzerland, but also in Scandinavian countries and even in the U.K., although it is extremely rare there. Flowers of this species are small, though more than one flower stalks appear on each plants, many of which are adorned with multiple flowers.
